Calling all librarians!

Join our Direct Email List. If you have a Master's in Library Science or Information Science, or are currently in school and will be receiving an MLS or MIS, please add your name to our direct mail list. Each time we post a job, it will zoom to your email address.

How do I become a librarian? Check out becomealibrarian.org.

Effective March 28, 2008 and until further notice, the Ocean County Library will accept applications only for specific titles when vacancies occur or are anticipated.

After that date unsolicited applications received by the Library for all occupations or titles, other than those listed, will not be used or returned. An historical excess of applications for clerical and library assistant positions has resulted in unrealistic expectations about employment with the Library. Our purpose in making this change is to ensure credibility with our hiring process.

Please see job listings for current openings and recruitments. Please check this website periodically for updates. New job postings will run for a minimum of ten days.

Submitting an application for any of these titles does not guarantee an interview; however, if you file for a specific opening you will hear from our Office of Human Resources regarding the disposition of your application.

For further information, please telephone Sue Reilly at (732) 349-6200, extension 5931, or you may e-mail Ms. Reilly at sreilly@theoceancountylibrary.org.
